LET'S TRY THIS again
If you know me you know how I love working out and trying to keep my body healthy (this is a lie). To keep both of us accountable on our new year fitness goals, I teamed up with Old Navy to give you these 5 tips on how to keep yourself on track! Even when you don’t feel like working out, having a cute workout fit honestly does make it a little more bearable.
Okay, now let's get back to the new years tips.
STEP 1: COFFEE NEVER HURTS EVEn at 10pm!
By this I mean, do whatever you need to do to stay awake for an extra 30 minutes to get whatever needs to get done! Don't wait till tomorrow. I promise it will feel much better than dragging yourself up in the morning so JUST DO ITTTT.
STEP 2: KEEP YOURSELF BUSY WITH SOME FUN ACTIVITIES
No matter how minuscule the activity may seem, just try and keep your body busy. Avoid staying at home for hours watching reruns of the real housewives (yes, indeed I am calling myself out).
STEP 3: USE AN APP TO STAY ON TRACK
This has honestly been a lifesaver. There are so many apps these days that have helped me remember things that my selective memory LOVES to forget. From sleep to meals and even books. Try and make the most out of your phone before heading to social media.
STEP 3: Set your goals BUT BE Realistic!
One of the biggest problems with anything surrounding a New Year's resolution is that they can be extremely impractical and no where near feasible. So don't fall under this trap and set goals that are actually practical so that you can at least stick to half of them.
STEP 4: TAkE IT easy and enjoy life first
Remember that there will always be a new year so be sure to think of your resolution as a lifelong commitment, not just a 12 month choice. Be gentle on yourself and don't forget to celebrate the small victories! You got this.
